Eloise:
For this task, I will be in charge of mainly editing and also contributing to the written side of this. I shall also be sorting out the first cuts of our video and gaining audience feedback from this so we can develop our ideas more. It is important for us to get a sense of what the audience think as they will be watching it and they might be able to contribute to it. Furthermore, I shall also be writing up the use of conventions for our chosen genre (indie-rock), and analysing the technical conventions, narrative/performance, use of illustration/amplification/disjuncture and intertextuality. The shot list shall be created by myself, and also deconstructing the lyrics of the song to really find out the meaning behind them. Whilst this is taking place, I shall also be creating cutting to the beat, as it is easier to do this at the same time as the shot list so I don't miss out any vital information.
George:
George shall be creating the storyboard for our music video, and making sure that it is very detailed so we have a good, set idea. He shall be doing this by sketching out different shots in different locations, and also using his camera to find good locations and seeing what these shots look like in a picture form. Not only this, but George will also be creating the actor auditions list, and comparing the chosen actors together, to find out who is best for this type of performance/narrative music video. We shall both be planning for ancillary tasks whilst all of this is being completed, which includes draft layouts of posters and advertisement shots of the artist. George shall also be in charge of doing the mies-en-scene choices as he will mostly be filming it (due to his high level of skill with a camera) it would be best for him to choose the locations and actors. Risk assessments shall be carried out by both of us as well, to make sure that we do not miss any important information.
